So, getting up at 8 am on a Saturday to go for 3 hour walking tour of San Francisco (thru meetup.com) was well worth it. I got in some good serious exercise, learned more about my new city, made some new friends and a possible job network thingy and I found an opportunity to be the receipient of a PIF (Pay It Forward) participant.
Now, I'm announcing my readiness to Pay it Forward. Here's the deal :
It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” (which I highly recommend seeing if you have not already seen it with Haley Joel Osmond, Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey) where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on. You all know I’m already a PIF type of person. So here’s how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise! What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. If you're not a knitter, no worries, just put together a nice special package for your recipients. In your comment spell out your email address so no spammers get it. I'll send you an email confirming your comment and get your mailing address. If you don't have a blog but you maybe belong to some email groups put out your request there (so long as OT is accepted in your group).
Feel free to grab the PIF button too!
Merry Knitting!

Never pass up a PIF - they are such a great idea - and I haven't made it fast enough to be one of the three before. So here is number 1 for you.
Good luck!
Hi,
I'd love to join in your PIF if I've been quick enough - I've never managed it before, but absolutely love the idea (and I'm desperate to see the film!)
Does this make me number three? I love PIF's.
